CCData's Exchange Benchmark brings transparency and accountability to the digital asset exchange sector. The report is updated twice annually to reflect the fast-changing digital asset landscape and is backed by thousands of hours of research, encompassing more than 200 qualitative and quantitative metrics. 

Key findings:

• Out of 98 spot exchanges, 17 met the threshold for a BB+ rating (17%), with only Coinbase and Bitstamp scoring above 80 points. Kraken and Bybit also obtained AA rankings, scoring above 75.
• Coinbase has received the highest score in the April 2024 Exchange Benchmark, maintaining the top ranking for the second consecutive Exchange Benchmark.
• Amongst the 27 exchanges which offer derivatives trading, 10 attained Top-Tier status, with only OKX and Bybit achieving AA grades, with scores of 82.5 and 81.2, respectively.
• Top-Tier centralised exchanges experienced a remarkable 775% surge in monthly volume, from ~$250bn in Oct-23, to ~$2.17tn in Apr-24. In contrast, Lower-Tier exchanges only experienced a 313% increase, from approximately ~$178bn to ~$737bn.
